2. Data we collect
2.1 Usage data (without consent - legitimate interest)
- Cadastral references queried: To process your request. They are not linked to personal data.
- IP address: To limit abuse, prevent fraud, and ensure service security. Anonymized within a maximum of 30 days.
- Technical data: Browser type, operating system, to ensure compatibility.
2.2 Analytical cookies (only with consent)
If you accept cookies, we use:
- Google Analytics: To analyze website usage in aggregate.
- Microsoft Clarity: To understand how users interact with the website (heatmaps, anonymized session recordings).
You can reject these cookies in the banner that appears when you visit the site. If you reject, no tracking cookies are installed.
2.3 Account data (only if you register)
When you register, we collect:
- Email (for access and communications)
- Search history (for your convenience)
- Payment data (managed by Stripe, we do not store cards)
2.4 Parcel alerts
If you follow parcels (favourites or watched), we send you alerts about them by email and push notification. We measure opens and clicks on those alerts to improve them. Every alert includes a link to choose which ones you get or to stop them.

5. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We only share it with:
- Infrastructure providers: Vercel (web hosting), Railway (API hosting), under data processing agreements.
- Analytics providers: Google and Microsoft, only if you accept cookies.
- Authorities: If required by law.
- Solar installers: If you request a solar installation quote, and only with your explicit consent, we share your contact details and the parcel location with local installers so they can contact you. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing soporte@catastrogps.es.
International transfers: Some providers (Google, Microsoft) may process data in the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
6. Data retention
- IP logs: Maximum 30 days
- Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics configuration)
- Cookie preference: 1 year
- Account data: While account is active + 5 years (tax obligation)
- API terms acceptance: when you accept the API terms of use we store the date, the accepted version and the IP address as proof of acceptance, for as long as the API relationship lasts and then for the legal limitation period
7. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to:

- Erasure: Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Objection: Object to processing
- Restriction: Restrict how we use your data
- Portability: Receive your data in a structured format

10. Data sources
The cadastral data we display comes from official public cadastral services of each country (Spanish Cadastre, Portugal SNIC, France Geoplateforme, Italian Catasto, German Kataster (ALKIS), and others).

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via a notice on the website. The update date is shown at the beginning of the document.

13. Parcel GPS add-on for Google Sheets
If you use our Google Sheets add-on:
- What it reads: only the cells of the current spreadsheet that you select or pass to a formula (cadastral references or coordinates). It does not access your other spreadsheets, your Drive or your email.
- Your API key: stored in Google user properties (UserProperties) of your own account. It is never written to the sheet or logged.
- Where data goes: only to api.parcelgps.com, to look up the parcels you ask for. The results are written back to your sheet.
- What we keep: nothing beyond normal API request logs (the reference or coordinates requested, the key used and the time), kept for the periods in section 6.
- Third parties: we do not sell or share any data obtained through the add-on with third parties.
Parcel GPS’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
